77,600 informed young voters

2019 is definitely an "on" year! Since January 1, 2019 more than 13,300 high school students have pledged to make their voices heard in elections around the country. Inspire U.S. now has a total of 77,600 young people in our movement!

Many states have elections this spring and we have been contacting these young voters (many are first-time voters) via text, email, phone, and even snail mail to ensure they are going to the polls excited and informed. Check out one of our PA Inspire students getting out the vote on twitter here.

We also celebrated successes this month. Shadow Ridge High School received the Helen J. Stewart Award from the NV Secretary of State for registering more than 65% of eligible seniors to vote - 580 students! In attendance were Councilwoman Michele Flore, a representative from the office of Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and Secretary of State, Barbara Cegavske, who presented the award to the Inspire student leaders and school.

Shadow Ridge Celebration

In collaboration with Michelle Obama's initiative When We All Vote, Shadow Ridge High School students celebrate their award for registering 65% of their senior class to vote.

Inspire is busy recruiting the next cohort of 2019-20 Inspired Leaders. Our goal is to recruit 2-4 Inspired Leaders per high school. These accepted student leaders will attend Leadership Summits in their region where they will learn about election laws, engage in civil discourse, discover their leadership strengths and have fun with each other. Each Summit will cost roughly $2,000 to host.
