Jessica immigrated from East Africa to the United States at the age of six and now lives in Minneapolis. She is an avid traveler and frequently visits her family in Africa. She has traveled to four continents and looks forward to exploring the remaining three.
As a Midwest Regional Organizer, Jessica supports implementation of Inspire's high school voter registration program in our newest state, Wisconsin.
Jessica graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in mass communications and political science. She currently serves as a board member on Young Professionals of Minneapolis as well as Open Your Heart, an organization that focuses on homelessness and hunger in Minnesota. She is the oldest of three girls, so gender equality is an important issue that drives her to be politically and socially active for change. She hopes that her younger sisters will grow up in a world where individuals are treated without bias.
