Why donate to Inspire U.S.?
Donating to Inspire U.S. is an investment in democracy. Today’s volatile political climate needs more voices. It needs younger voices. It needs informed and engaged voices. Inspire U.S. is set up to help these young voices make a difference in our democracy.
- Inspire U.S. is the only national organization whose mission is nonpartisan voter registration and mobilization of 17- and 18-year-olds. These young people vote at the lowest rates of any age group, yet they have the most at stake. We’ve registered 78,000+ in ten states and counting!
- Inspire U.S. creates lifetime voters. Research shows that people who vote when they first become eligible are most likely to become habitual voters and those who vote in three consecutive elections are most likely to become lifetime voters.
- People are more likely to vote when asked by a friend. Inspire U.S. trains high school juniors and seniors to help their peers register to vote, mobilize for election day, and organize local civic action that makes democracy come alive to these new voters.
We challenge young people to energize democracy through civil discourse, collaborative problem-solving, policy review, and voting.
While there is no cost to students, schools, communities or partners to participate in our programs, they certainly are not “free.” Please join us in keeping the program open and available to all.
Your tax-deductible donation of any amount will help to expand and strengthen our youth movement nationwide.
