Sami Mooney

Regional Organizer

Sami grew up in Arizona and attended Coronado High School, where she was an Inspired Leader in the inaugural Inspire AZ cohort. Sami is now a junior at Arizona State University in Barrett, the Honors College getting her BA in Justice Studies and minoring in Non Profit Leadership and Management. 

Sami has worked as an AVID tutor, Boys and Girls Club summer staff member and is currently a senior resident assistant. She's interned at a variety of places including Social Venture Partners, Greater Phoenix Leadership, the City of Tempe's Diversity and Strategic Initiatives office and spent two months in the Dominican Republic interning with Outreach 360.

Sami is also involved on the ASU campus in a variety of ways including founding and serving as president of Devils Spark Change, a club that goes on service trips, Engagement lead for the Next Generation Service Corps, a 400 member program, Vice President of Habitat for Humanity, Co-lead of the Andrew Goodman Foundation ambassadors and Outreach Chair for a Domestic Violence awareness club called One Love. Sami is passionate about helping people find their place in contributing to their community whether through voting, volunteering or just being more aware of different social issues that our neighbors may be facing.
