2017 Inspire Award Recipients

Eight Inspired Leaders went above and beyond registering their peers to vote and earned them the coveted Inspire Award.  Read more about about them here.

Each year, Inspire U.S. presents the Inspire Award to deserving Inspired Leaders who have achieved his or her voter registration goals and demonstrated outstanding commitment to amplify the voice of the youth.  Students who qualify can apply for this award by submitting a written or video essay to describe keys to their success, challenges they came up against in voter registrations and how they will continue to influence young people to be civically engaged.

Thirty-six schools in our program achieved their voter registration goal for registering eligible seniors. This was not an easy effort and the credit goes to the dedicated Inspired Leaders. Eight of these leaders went above and beyond voter registration by being civically engaged and getting out the vote and meeting with elected officials. Here are the essays for the 2016-17 Inspire Award Recipients.
